Since
the American Medical Association (AMA) and the British Medical
Association (BMA) approved the use of clinical hypnosis in the 1950s
thousands of people have found hypnosis to be an effective way to stop
smoking, lose weight, relieve stress, build self-esteem, accelerate
healing, manage pain and otherwise improve their lives.
Hypnosis is the most successful way for people to stop smoking because it deals with where the smoking habit is located- in the subconscious mind. And hypnosis makes it easy for the person to stop smoking.
Of
course, there are varying degrees of success with hypnosis because much
depends upon the skill, experience, and general competence of the
individual hypnotherapist - as well as the techniques being used.
Hypnosis
is possibly as old as mankind. The old myths and misconceptions about
hypnosis have given way to proven, scientifically sound applications.
Today the use of hypnosis is seen in a variety of fields including:
medicine, dentistry, law enforcement, professional sports, and
education.
There
are a variety of hypnotic techniques. The approach you choose depends
on what you want to accomplish as well as your personal preferences.
During your consultation we will discuss and make recommendations
regarding the best technique for your particular situation.
For example, in one method the hypnotherapist leads you into hypnosis by talking in a gentle, soothing tone and describing images that create a sense of relaxation, security and well-being. While you're in hypnosis, the hypnotherapist suggests ways for you to achieve specific goals, such as stopping smoking, exercising more, eating healthier foods, reducing pain or stress and more.

After strict dieting months before my wedding, a honeymoon in Italy was exactly what I was craving. For two weeks I gorged on pasta, pizza, wine and more pizza. I managed to gain approximately 10 pounds while on this European holiday. Needless to say this wasn't they way I wanted to spend my new chapter of married life. I wanted to re-set myself and my eating habits for good. Growing up I was praised for always being a good eater and finishing all my food, which psychologically forced me to ALWAYS finish what was on my plate, even if I was full.

I am baffled by the process, but I can swear by that same process. I have not smoked a cigarette since I left your office. Your session with me somehow reverse the habit that I had created over the years (many years). My friends are intrigued and shocked that it happened so quickly and so effortlessly. I too, am shocked I have had such a great result. I believe anyone can do this with an open mind and a willingness to quit.
I no longer wake up wanting a cigarette first thing in the morning nor a cigarette after meals. I feel as if a switch was flipped. I am also baffled as to how I can be around others that smoke and yet it does not trigger me to grab one. It is not like I am turned off by others smoking but I no longer have the desire to smoke.
